Brown lentils is also known as Masoor Whole. Beans and Pulses are naturally low in fat, high in fibre and rich in protein. Brown lentils are a relatively large lentil and unlike the yellow and red varieties, have an outer shell which means they’re richer in fibre. The outer shell also means they retain their shape during cooking, but they do become tender enough for them to be mashed into a puree.
